Another One With Photos And Captions

This one is a bit lighter on the captions. Heavy on the photos, light on the captions. And plenty of photos of cars.

I think that’s Fiesta Island, which is currently vacant and I believe there is a struggle about what to do with it. Money is the issue. Some idealistic natives are clawing for whatever remaining affordable beach/rec access exists, but what has the city done to show us it gives a hoot about anything other than suckin’ in that cash for the hospitality industry? Hey, quit whining and head to a brewery!

This is one of the best Accords ever made. The hatch with the flip-up headlights.

Of course this post wouldn’t be complete without cars.

This old Ford from the neighborhood is fantastic. From the mirror here, to the farm-grade gear lever, to the fire hose serving some sort of unknown purpose, I love it.

I really like this car, it’s called the Subaru BRZ Toyota 86 Scion FRS. Subaru basically made it, Toyota financed it and tried to sell it through Scion, the brand originally created to market to young people- but that brand died, and now you know why this car has been named thrice in its short lifespan. I have never driven one, but I have ridden in one and I can attest that it seems to be a superbly balanced, nimble sports car.

This is to a Suzuki Samuri what a Suzuki Samuri is to a Jeep Wrangler. In other words, this is the coolest vehicle in the universe.

You know, it’s not always sunny in San Diego.

But it usually is.
